NU’s Rawlings gloves shutout over Harvard
BOSTON — Chris Rawlings pitched his fourth shutout in six games, while Mike McLaughlin scored two goals as the Northeastern Huskies ousted the Harvard Crimson, 4-0, at the TD Garden in the opening semifinal of the 2011 Beanpot Tournament.
The Huskies have now advanced to the championship game on 14 occasions with the last coming in 2009. Their win also marked the fourth shutout in Huskies Beanpot history.

Cross keeps BC repeat hopes alive and well
BOSTON — Games between Beanpot rivals Boston College and Boston University are always instant classics and Monday’s semifinal at the TD Garden was no different.
BC junior and alternate captain Tommy Cross, property of the Bruins, scored the winning goal at 3:17 of the overtime period to lift the Eagles to a 3-2 victory over the Terriers in front of a capacity crowd of 17,565 fans in the second Beanpot semifinal on Monday at TD Garden.
